After take-off, the crew were unable to retract the landing gear. After spending some time in a holding pattern and trying to work the problem, crew headed out over the sea to dump fuel and lose weight. With 120 minutes of fuel remaining a PAN was declared and an emergency landing was attempted. It was met on the runway by RAF Mildenhall Fire Service, inspected and then given the all clear. |
